Opening the meeting, the Committee Chair Andriy Ivanchuk stressed that imposition of tightened measures regarding Ukrainian freight by the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation has actually blocked export of Ukrainian products to the Russian Federation.
A.Ivanchuk called all those present to “thoroughly discuss all aspects of the abovementioned problem and decide on the actions to be taken to improve the situation and eliminate negative effects”.
As mentioned during the discussion, export volume of goods from Ukraine to the Russian Federation in January-June 2013 has decreased in comparison to the same period of the previous year (8,7 vs. 7,5 billion USD). Thereat, import volume of oil, oil products and fertilizers, etc. from the Russian Federation to Ukraine has also decreased (13,6 vs. 9,6 billion USD).
The necessity of adoption of the state external-economy development program was stressed.
Following the results of discussion, A.Ivanchuk suggested hold Committee hearings in order to elaborate measures for quick and efficient settlement of the problem and elaborate respective mechanisms that would prevent similar problematic situations in the future.
